A dogleg left around the tree, the golfer needs a drive that tends to draw – but not too close to the left edge – it benefits a big hitter who can carry the ball the 250 yards needed to reach the fairway around the corner. The green is the narrowest on the course, with severe slopes on either side, and the shorter the approach shot the easier it is to stay on the green. Running a ball onto the green is rarely successful.
